The monument to Bogdan Khmelnytsky Kyiv is a business card and a symbol of the Ukrainian capital.
The name of Bohdan Khmelnytsky in Kiev means the struggle for independence for Ukrainians. In 1652, Hetman Khmelnytsky freed most of the Ukrainian Polish oppression and, in 1888, a monument to a national hero was opened in Sofia Square.
